AKA_Clutter Posted December 4, 2017 Posted December 4, 2017 OK 1.5.8.122xx Open Beta is consistently generating a BSOD (Blue Screen Of Death - sometimes with a note that the game failed). This has occurred about 8 - 10 in a row. What I do know is: Oculus Rift & 1.5 Release works fine Oculus Rift & 2.x Open Beta works fine 1.58.122xx in non-VR works fine as does the Harrier Oculus Rift is up to date and works with DCS and Battle of Stalingrad. hansangb Posted December 4, 2017 Posted December 4, 2017 I had my 1.5 (the one just before the Harrier fix) crash a few times as well. But I didn't get BSOD. It just hung up and I had to kill it manually. This is in in VR-Rift as well. I haven't had a chance to upgrade to the latest version (Harrier fix) hsb HW Spec in Spoiler --- i7-10700K Direct-To-Die/OC'ed to 5.1GHz, MSI Z490 MB, 32GB DDR4 3200MHz, EVGA 2080 Ti FTW3, NVMe+SSD, Win 10 x64 Pro, MFG, Warthog, TM MFDs, Komodo Huey set, Rverbe G1
AKA_Clutter Posted December 5, 2017 Author Posted December 5, 2017 I think I may have it solved. I read in another post where someone was have a similar issue with an earlier version of 1.5x. The suggested fix was to delete the C:\USER\xxx\Saved Games\DCS ... I deleted the DCS Open Beta folder and restarted system. So far I have had two successful flights. I'll keep this posted if it doesn't work. ---------------- AKA_Clutter Win 10 Pro, Intel i7 12700k @4.6 GHz, EVGA RTX 3080 FTW, Ultra 64 GB G.Skill DDR4 3600 RAM, Acer 27" flat screen, HP Reverb G2, TM Warthog HOTAS with Virpil warBRD base, MFG Rudder Pedals, Virpil TCS Rotor Base with AH-64Dcollective, TrackIR 5 Pro w/Vector Expansion, PointCTRL.

AKA_Clutter Posted December 6, 2017 Author Posted December 6, 2017 AKA Clutter did this "fix" eliminate the severe stuttering screen freezes? Rocky - I didn't notice any real stuttering or screen freezes. Of course I wasn't really looking for those, nor was I in multiplayer. When I fly it next, I will try and look for those. AKA_Clutter Posted December 7, 2017 Author Posted December 7, 2017 AKA Clutter Tried deleting saved game folder DCS beta and forcing new spawn of the folder> no cure for the freezing stuttering issue Yea, I got to try it again late last night and I saw the same issue. Haven't clue as to why. I am using the latest Nvidia drivers as well. ---------------- AKA_Clutter Win 10 Pro, Intel i7 12700k @4.6 GHz, EVGA RTX 3080 FTW, Ultra 64 GB G.Skill DDR4 3600 RAM, Acer 27" flat screen, HP Reverb G2, TM Warthog HOTAS with Virpil warBRD base, MFG Rudder Pedals, Virpil TCS Rotor Base with AH-64Dcollective, TrackIR 5 Pro w/Vector Expansion, PointCTRL.
Rocky49 Posted December 7, 2017 Posted December 7, 2017 I don't think its a NVidia issue cause it happens with drivers going as far back as Aug, version 385.43 that previous ran with no issues in 1.5.6 ad 1.5.7 It is quite variable and can't seem to find a trigger there are no issues with 388.43 and DCS 2.1 System:Motherboard Asus ROG Strix Z390-E,Asus ROG GeForce RTX 2080Ti OC, GPU, 32GB Corsair Vengeance DDR4 Ram, Intel i9 9900K @ 5 GHz , cooled by NZXT Kraken X52, Acer XB270HU G-Sinc monitor, Windows 10 Pro, Warthog joystick and throttle with wasy extension, VBK Gunfighter Pro and MCG Pro,MFG Rudder, running on a dedicated 1TB Samsung 970 Pro M2 Nvme , Super Wheel Stand Pro, with a HP Reverb G2
