Florence201 Posted December 30, 2017 Posted December 30, 2017 Hi, I'm working my way through the A-10C BFT training and have made it as far as the waypoint navigation serial. Since the latest DCS1.5 update, regardless of setting the correct altimeter setting, i keep failing the serial for height issues. For some reason the height is misreading and i have no idea why. Anyone got any helpful tips please? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Puma Posted January 1, 2018 Posted January 1, 2018 That sounds very much like the cause, but adding to the complexity is adjusting abrametric pressure adjustments. I believe the process is to use the callout out altitude (QFE) during takeoff, then as you climb above 10,000, switch back to QNE 2992. When I was flying BFT I think this resulted in around 300' adjustment. I honestly am not SURE if the mission requirements use QFE or QNE, so I ended up flying in between the two to be "safe". good luck. The missions are a blast, albeit a little frustrating at times! Vantskruv Posted January 5, 2018 Posted January 5, 2018 My way to solve this is to always (when able) to have the POS page shown in the CDU when flying. In this page I use the GPS altitude as a reference to level off my altitude.
