I'm trying to spawn/activate the Smoke static object and have setup it up to trigger after a certain number of bombs have entered the zone, but it is always active already at mission start.

 

I'm probably setting something wrong in the trigger so some help would be appreciated :)

 

FYI: I setup the 'Scenery Destruction' into the same trigger and that works fine, just not the smoke objects...

As far as I knew I thought big smoke is a static object you place on the Map in the ME and is not a trigger which would explain why it works from the start I may be wrong. With scenery destruction that is a outcome you set up in the trigger menu so that would work as a trigger option.
