Bersagliere81 Posted January 10, 2018 Posted January 10, 2018 I bought an old game on GOG which requires DirectPlay to be enabled. Can this application cause any issue with DCS or any other game? hansangb Posted January 10, 2018 Posted January 10, 2018 (edited) I'm not sure about it being safe since I don't use it. It's just an old piece of code. I'm pretty sure DCS won't care one way or the other. But you do have to enable it. Control Panel, Programs (where you go to uninstall programs), On the left you'll see "Turn Windows Features on or off", click on the + next to Legacy components. You'll see DirectPlay there. Oh, and your game may need to be played in compatibility mode. Find the EXE or shortcut that launches the game, right click, properties, Compatibility tab, Run this program i Compatibility mode for...and use the oldest OS version there. Good luck Edited January 10, 2018 by hansangb hsb HW Spec in Spoiler --- i7-10700K Direct-To-Die/OC'ed to 5.1GHz, MSI Z490 MB, 32GB DDR4 3200MHz, EVGA 2080 Ti FTW3, NVMe+SSD, Win 10 x64 Pro, MFG, Warthog, TM MFDs, Komodo Huey set, Rverbe G1
