To those that have cougars......any idea what the screw type that holds the shaft of the actual joystick together are?

There are four of them on the left side of the joystick handle.

They constantly need tightening to prevent play within the joystick handle itself and mine are getting chewed up....looking to replace them.

And i thought id eliminated all centre play and deadzone with the FSSR1 Mod!!

Thanks in advance, ive tried to post on the frugalsworld forums but they wont accept my registration with a non isp email.

Thanks in advance.

There is also a fifth one inside the stick handle. This is the one that usually causes the problem. Read on:

Good news for you buddy. There is an allen head screw mod you can do to sort this out and it will cost you nothing. See here for instuctions: http://www.cubpilotshangar.net/page88.html When I did mine I did not split the stick as completely and was able to do the inner screw with a minimum of fuss. I also did not bother with foil around the shaft and I have had no trouble at all with much use. This works excellent I have done this on all 3 of my Cougars and they have not loosened at all. When I went through this I had to buy 100pcs each of the allen replacement screws. If you PM me with your address I can send you out a set for your Cougar free of charge. You will need to get the Allen Hex wrench . Glad to help if I can. Works fabulous for my FSSB R1, my NXT, and my uber modded Cougar.

Yeah, it's this screw that's INSIDE the handle that get's loose... be ware though, the metal handle is made out of aluminium aloy and is bit "soft" so don't try tightening that srew too much ;)
