Hi good Pilots!

Newby mission builder here again but happily progressing pretty well actually. Ok, here's my question. My triggers for mission success are working beautifully but when I tried to replicate a mission fail for myself, I ran into problems and some things I didn't understand. First, and this is only SP creation ok. The mission Goals Page I think I set up correctly with 100 pnts as GazAce Unit Dead but the Triggers page under Type I wasn't sure if I leave it as my screen shot shows.. Name Enemy Groups Dead and NO EVENT or is that incorrect? Hope you can make some sense of my settings. I did a kamikaze to test it (which felt kinda weird actually) but no message appeared after my demise. As I mentioned the other triggers for mission succuss work fine with message displayed. I'm missing something I'm sure but I'm not knowing.

Again any help muchly gratified, cheers G

P.S One other small question, setting up my FAC which works fine btw I noticed a "Number" box under the Callsign name of my JTAC. What does this number signify ?

Make sure you belong to group Flying Tigers because the message is visible only to them. You can easy check by sending a message to coalition.

If I understand what you're trying correctly, you need to break those out into individual items. The way you have it now, all three conditions must be true at which time it will play all three messages.

NO EVENT is correct for almost everything. If you tie an additional event in, all the conditions will need to be met and then the trigger will fire that next time that type of event occurs. There are a few very specific situations where it's helpful but most of the time it delays your trigger unnecessarily, especially for something simple like checking if a group/unit is dead.

1 ONCE (Mission Success, NO EVENT) -> GROUP DEAD (APC BTR 80 Group Prime TGT 1) (GROUP DEAD (MBT T-55 Group Prime TGT 2) -> MESSAGE TO ALL (Mission Success, 20)

then a second trigger

1 ONCE (Mission Failure, NO EVENT) -> UNIT DEAD (GazAce) -> MESSAGE TO ALL (Mission Fail!, 20)

I figured that I rarely end up dead in missions when shot down as I'm ejecting when AC is damaged. So I set the trig for miss fail when unit damaged and it worked beautifully! Now I'm very happy, have both mission success/fail trigs. Thx again ffff, really helpful man.

Cheers, big ups to u mate!
