BlacleyCole Posted January 24, 2018 Posted January 24, 2018 Hello newbe here been playing with both dcs 1.5 and 2 since early December. I bough the a10 training packages and haven’t got to them since my time has been learning the uh-1h. I thought of building a/or package(s) of Training missions for the uh-1h. I have figured out the mission for the first Training mission where each builds on the previous. The first mission starts in the air heading 360 at 500’ and airspeed of 90 knots at waypoint Alpha the trainee takes over the aircraft. Normally these will be of the type hear mission in the breifing, see one done by the ai instructor (if possible) then do one for a grade. But this one is hear it in the breifing then do in the cockpit for grade. Each mission will be approximately one hour long . With several goals each around three to six should be good. Like I said the first one starts in the air at a heading of 360 degrees altitude of 500’and 90 knots. At waypoint Alpha thestudent take control of the uh-1h and changes the heading to a smooth course of 45 degrees maintaining 500’agl for ten minutes. At waypoint Bravo he them changes the heading left to a heading of 315 degrees maintaining the 500’agl using the radar atilmeter for ten minutes to waypoint Charlie. There the climb to an altitude of 750’ agl for ten minutes. At waypoint delta the student reduces the airspeed to a hover. Maintaining it for ten minutes then lower altitude to 5’agl where the mission is completed. The student will be gradeded on the smothness of his/hers transitions ability to maintain course once Achieved and a few random hquestions if possible. Much like what I expect a rw Training mission would be. Can anyone create this for me either in code with explanations and or the mission editor I wish to learn but have not figured out how to do the above yet but it should be possible. If you wish to team up on this I’m willing to have a partner in the venture. Like I said I wish to create a uh-1h version of a10 training packages then after that hope to be able to create some active campaigns like SAR missions recovering down aircrew, then a transport campaign to utilize the uh-1h and the a ground support and a-a/a-g combat campaign so if we do a great job on this first undergraduate rotary pilot basic training campaign we migh.t be able to sell it although the uh-1h is a very small niche in dcs they’re pilots wanting campaigns just like the attack birds. Cibit Posted January 24, 2018 Posted January 24, 2018 Wait till we get multicrew and join the 229th. Then you can have proper lessons from proper pilots :) Oh and maintaining a hover for 10 minutes is asking a lot from even the most experienced pilots :music_whistling: i5 8600k@5.2Ghz, Asus Prime A Z370, 32Gb DDR4 3000, GTX1080 SC, Oculus Rift CV1, Modded TM Warthog Modded X52 Collective, Jetseat, W10 Pro 64 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Adding JTAC Guide //My Vid's//229th AHB
BlacleyCole Posted January 25, 2018 Author Posted January 25, 2018 I realize the hover is a lot I would love to get aircrew input and the multi player multi crew would be great but not needed for this since the me would be acting as the instructor pilot in a way the only disadvantage would be if the student loses control the me isn’t able to take control and recover as far as I know. If it is that would be great. You interested in working together? BlackeyCole 20years usaf XP-11. Cibit Posted January 25, 2018 Posted January 25, 2018 To be honest I would be hard pressed for both time and knowledge of the triggers/arguments needed for this to happen. I can let you have a copy of the 229th SOP and the Uh-1h dash 10 if you need em. Also as an Aardvark mechanic you may want to check this out https://forums.mudspike.com/t/aardvark-and-aardvark-jokes/5499/21 :) And seriously you might want to think about signing up at the 229th have a wee look at the link in my sig i5 8600k@5.2Ghz, Asus Prime A Z370, 32Gb DDR4 3000, GTX1080 SC, Oculus Rift CV1, Modded TM Warthog Modded X52 Collective, Jetseat, W10 Pro 64 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Adding JTAC Guide //My Vid's//229th AHB
BlacleyCole Posted January 25, 2018 Author Posted January 25, 2018 (edited) Please do contact me through pm and I’ll give you my email and as I develop the missions I’ll try to send them to you for sale fee tryout Once I figure out how they are coded it shouldn’t be much to learn how to build them I’ve been coding off and on since the late 70s, I work as a operational resource management in a h-60 unit which are the guys that follow the aircrew Training and inputs it in the usaf trainingcomputer. So I understand what goes into a training sortieplus spent time in a Training unit iirci have a syllabus for initial uh-1 Training that i need to study more but the first 6 sorties are all sim stuff so I’m having to adapt some.
