cm2 Posted May 8, 2018 Author Posted May 8, 2018 (edited) Thanks Draconus :) though all the merit in support on this one goes to Viper (feefifofum), this campaign is his baby, I just wrote the scripts and briefings :) ... But a happy baby needs 2 parents, so you are the dad and feefifofum is the mother of the excellent campaign? lol I played the mission using 2.5.0 before and time acceleration was not an issue on my end too. draconus Posted May 14, 2018 Posted May 14, 2018 all the merit in support on this one goes to Viper (feefifofum), this campaign is his baby, I just wrote the scripts and briefings Well, by Baltic Dragon, I meant you two (or more?) - assuming it is the company. All thanks and credit to feefifofum then if felt omitted :) Again on the mission. Even without time acceleration 2 helis crash sometime. Wingman get shot down (ejected) but he keeps talking after, ie. "Splash one" radio comms. After dealing with Foxhounds you cannot find Frogfoots on radar near waypoint 7. After "SAM situation" I asked for additional tasking, flew by the Abkhazian border, even fence in up to the second SAM, no Fencers coming for more than 10 minutes, got back to base, but result 50. I finally got tired of it and asked for RTB next time completing the mission. Win10 i7-10700KF 32GB RTX4070S Quest 3 T16000M VPC CDT-VMAX TFRP FC3 F-14A/B F-15E CA SC NTTR PG Syria
feefifofum Posted May 14, 2018 Posted May 14, 2018 (edited) Your wingman does not communicate after being shot down. The "splash" calls come from either the player or AWACS. If your wingman survives the encounter, however, there are a couple of additional conversations with him. As I mentioned, the helos are not relevant to the state of the mission...strange that they crash on your rig but not mine, but fortunately this has no impact on gameplay. As you approach within 40 miles, the Frogfoots turn and egress. With your RADAR configured properly and in favorable conditions (look up, high PRF, 60deg azimuth) you will be able to detect them as you approach and also briefly as they egress (med PRF.) This is also not terribly relevant as long as you force them to retreat, which is confirmed by AWACS and related to your relative position to them. As for the Fencer, you should receive both bullseye position and the direction he is tracking which you can self-check on F10, as well as BRAA updates from AWACS periodically (provided you have the "allied flight reports" option checked and your radio listen mode set to include reports to player) or when requested. That aircraft is a late activated air start at altitude so there is no possibility of him crashing. He is also flying high enough to contrail and should be clearly visible. "Feet wet" means the target aircraft is flying over the water. Assuming you fly West to the Black Sea after escaping the SAM attack as ordered, then follow the coast NW, you should have no trouble locating him. Your score stayed at 50 because you failed your tertiary tasking to intercept the reconnaisance flight. This is working as intended. You can either refuse this next time or bypass the mission and launch M15 directly through the ME. Edited May 14, 2018 by feefifofum THE GEORGIAN WAR - OFFICIAL F-15C DLC
draconus Posted May 15, 2018 Posted May 15, 2018 The "splash" calls come from either the player or AWACS. Indeed it was player, now that I checked. As for the Fencer, you should receive both bullseye position and the direction he is tracking which you can self-check on F10, as well as BRAA updates from AWACS periodically... I did not catch the "feet wet" phrase and I had a good knowledge of where the target is but was rather waiting for it (like in m#2) or trying to reach it trough the mountains but was too scared of SAM (it once hit me even at Angels 35). Did not come up with the idea of reaching it from the south. F10 (or skipping the mission) is not allowed in my Samurai code although, I admit, might come in handy debugging the mission before asking questions. I will give the Fencer "a shot" next time. One more thing: AWACS is available but not as an option in radio comm. Win10 i7-10700KF 32GB RTX4070S Quest 3 T16000M VPC CDT-VMAX TFRP FC3 F-14A/B F-15E CA SC NTTR PG Syria
feefifofum Posted May 15, 2018 Posted May 15, 2018 AWACS becomes available through the radio menu once you check in. If you leave the menu open you'll need to refresh it to see the option. THE GEORGIAN WAR - OFFICIAL F-15C DLC
