Is it possible to change the flight model and cockpit of an existing mod to that of another aircraft - for example, could I change the VSN aircraft to use the su 27 fm instead of the f15c? Thanks in advance!:helpsmilie:

Than all i do is replace that with the value for the su27? Do you know what that would be?

I don’t have FC3, only the su27. Do mods usually have other dependencies besides the flight model that rely on other parts?

Su-27 would be the 3 whereas the Su-25T would be the 54 and the F-15 the 6.

Delete the FM files in the mod and copy the FM files from the Su-27 over to the mod.

Open the entry.lua of the mod, delete the few lines in which the FM of the F-15 is written and delete those few lines if those lines are present.

The number 3 must be placed into the location where the code is similar to this example: {nil, old = 6}

Overwrite the 6 with the 3 for the Su-27

I think he meant cockpit as in the actual model of it and not the avionics. But yes, you do need the correct FM.old or old = n id for the correct correspondance. F-15C cockpit only verifies F-15C avionics id, and same for every other aircraft cockpit. Also you have to rename your Cockpit_name.edm file to Cockpit_make_flyable_name where make_flyable aircraft name could be F-14A. So in that case, "Cockpit_F-14A.edm"

He only has the Su-27, changing the cockpit wouldn't allow him to play as it would still use the F-15 avionics, which he doesn't own...

Ok, we'll do one.
