GVO Posted February 2, 2018 Posted February 2, 2018 In 2.5 I can't hardly read the HUD text anymore (in VR). Did something change or is it just me? Thanks for a great product :)
Cobra847 Posted February 3, 2018 Posted February 3, 2018 The HUD text is actually more prominent now than it was in 1.5.X. It may be that the sim is in general lighter however, or the lack of high MSAA. Nicholas Dackard Founder & Lead Artist Heatblur Simulations https://www.facebook.com/heatblur/
some1 Posted February 3, 2018 Posted February 3, 2018 The Viggen HUD was always more subtle than HUDs in other aircraft, and 2.5 exacerbates this issue. In broad daylight it's practically unreadable. It seemed more realistic to me. I will have to try my settings again and see if it helps.
Korroz Posted February 3, 2018 Posted February 3, 2018 It also doesn't help that VR headsets (at least the Vive unit I have) is set to be very bright, with no real way to adjust the brightness or the contrast. In daylight the HUD just disappears and reading the radar is also difficult because the high brightness plus the lens smears colors together. Not sure this is something heatblur needs to correct. In non-VR it seems fine.
