discwalker Posted February 3, 2018 Posted February 3, 2018 case 1: - simultaneous final approaches from opposite directions - AI have clearance to land - Player land first without any communication to ATC - player stay on rw and closing the touchdown point of the AI - ATC is blind - AI is blind - crash case 2 (track): - player hot start - player got clearance to taxi to RW - AI in patern, asking for land - player on RW - player finally got clearance to takeoff - player cancel takeoff to ATC - AI have clearance to land - AI start final approach - player stay on rw and closing the touchdown point of the AI - ATC is blind - AI is blind - crash tested ver: 2.5.0.13818.311AI_not_go_around.trk GTX 1070 8GB, 16GB DDR3, W8.1 on SSD, DCS on another SSD
robgraham Posted February 4, 2018 Posted February 4, 2018 Can confirm this seems like AI doesn’t care even if your on the runway ahead of it for a take off either if you’ve not gotten permission from tower, they see blind to any other non ai unit on the ground.. sadly, the ATC and just General Airfield pattern etc routines really need to get some love. I aborted a take off earlier and had a kc130 roll over the top of me because it wanted to take off. Can be really frustrating especially on maps were they could have easily used the second runway etc. i7 13700k, 64gb DDR5, Warthog HOTAS, HP Reverb G2 VR, win 11, RTX 3070 TGW Dedicated Server Admin, Australian PVE/PVP gameplay. You've typically only got a couple of seconds after trapping in which to quickly exit the mission or get smashed to pieces by your wingman. prccowboy Posted March 1, 2018 Posted March 1, 2018 Can confirm this seems like AI doesn’t care even if your on the runway or parked. I just flew a mission, landed and refueled/armed. I heard a Falcon land and taxi into the parking area. Knowing the bug, I tried to rush through my restart but wasn't fast enough... boom. I guess in the future I will need to find an unused taxiway to rearm.
