tpod lost functionality after downgrade

Hi,

 

Have any of you been flying the harrier after downgrading from 2.5 back to 1.5.8 final ?

 

I have lost some of the HUD iconology and it seems to be a little crazy not like on this video

 

 

it would be a shame if i lost most of the functionality.

 

I cant do laser guided bombs, I cant slave to mavs, and it seems to not follow the target correctly

Uhm ... the aircraft modules are tied to the DCS version: older DCS version means older module version. And that, of course, means less functionality and/or more bugs.

In the beta version of 1.5.8 the functionality was there, but they have removed it for the final release and left it in a more buggy state

 

if you have the harrier go back to 1.5 and see what im talking about

It was in the 1.5.8 beta version, but if I'm not mistaken the targeting pod has never worked in the 1.5 release version. You could say the Harrier had the unfortunate fate of being EA released right into the middle of the 2.5 update. It also showcases how important it is to consolidate the jungle of versions.

I've actually deleted my dcs save folder and have just reinstalled using the option "opt out of beta"

Lets see if that works.

 

It really does need to be fixed to how it was though it does take away a huge amount of the functionality.

 

I got 2.5 running reasonably well for single aircraft flight but as soon as i started to make missions it was unplayable hence why im asking about this version not 2.5.

 

Maybe it slipped in under the radar and no one has actually been in this situation so they havent seen it or heard about it

Well this has nothing to do with Razbam or the harrier though =P.

 

Its simply a case that 1.5.8 stable never got the last update that was on 1.5.8 Open beta (that included these changes to the harrier).

 

I very much doubt they will do any patches to 1.5.8 stable at this point either as they will update it to 2.5 very soon anyway.
