BlacleyCole Posted February 6, 2018 Posted February 6, 2018 1) Is there a trigger or way of requiring x hours in air frame? 2) can the ai fly the uh-1h ? 3) Can you trigger off of course or heading or must the aircraft fly over a triggering point? 4) can you trigger based on alitutde? 5) can you detect which crew position the client is using? Grimes Posted February 7, 2018 Posted February 7, 2018 1. Yes and no, but it would be somewhat paradoxical. You can't access a players logbook, but it is possible to track assorted player stats on your server with something like slmod and its stats. Problem with denying a specific aircraft type by lack of hours in it is you can't get the hours to fullfill the requirement. 2. Yes. AI can fly all aircraft. In terms of AI co-pilot I believe most of the multiseat aircraft have really basic options available. Like fly straight and level, orbit here, etc. 3. There is a units heading in limits trigger condition. 4. There are both altitude AGL and ASL conditions. 5. Not really. In MP you can see which slot a player is in so for an aircraft like the L-39 the slot corresponds with the seat. For the Gazelle a player can freely switch seats until another player joins their aircraft, so you only know their initial seat. Huey and Mi-8 don't have multicrew yet and there is no Unit.getSeat() scripting function. Such capability has been requested though. The right man in the wrong place makes all the difference in the world. BlacleyCole Posted February 7, 2018 Author Posted February 7, 2018 Thanks for the info the reasons for putting a time in aircraft requirement is so they are familiar with the aircrafts operation and simulate the ground and sim phases of pre flight training then can get that time in free flight. What I would like to do is have the ai act as an flight instructor demoing a task in the model see one do on test on one training concept. I’m still learning dcs myself and researching usaf and USA flight training for upt fligh.t training. I’m figuring that the basic course will be around 20 flight hours goal but some might finish in 15 at the earliest then those that might take 40 to complete it but I doubt that. I’m working on the design of the flights at this point and as I learn more What DCS can do and see if it’s capable of doing so I can utilize everything needed to make it the best. I’m planning on the complete training being in three or four packages much like the a10 training. Basic, advance, weapons and cargo transport. Where the basic teaches flight ops, NAS and Comm’s, the advance will teach advance techniques, the weapons will be the a-a and a-g and aerial artilary then cargo will teach the transport techniques for heavy cargo and sling techniques.
