DCS Wishlist: 1) FIX THE DAMN RIVERS!!! 2) Spherical or cylindrical panorama view projection. 3) Enhanced input options (action upon button release, etc). 4) Aircraft flight parameter dump upon exit (stick posn, attitude, rates, accel, control volume, control-surface positions, SAS bias, etc). 5) ADS-33 maneuver courses as static objects. 6) Exposed API or exports of trim position and stick force for custom controllers. 7) Select auto multiple audio devices

Hi there,

 

is anybody interested in discussion how to avoid REAL missiles? Since GGtharos has stated (Thanks mate;)) that missile logic and behavior is likely to be improved soon, I think it could be a good time for that.

 

Please keep in mind that we will discuss just possibilities, because it's not very common in real world to shoot live ammo on somebody just to get experience ;)

 

But for the start: speed is the key! More speed you have, less performance difference and more time, especially if being shot from the rear.

AFAIK, not much on missile logic, rather kinetic perfomance and sensor parameters adjustement.

Missiles can't think in other words. their simply guided.

 

But yes, that woyld be a good discussion if only it had not already been discussed. GGTharos method obviousally wroks. It forces the missile to loose so much energy that it will simply not have enough to make those last few menovers to hit you. it's kinda like the TOP GUN training missiond that come with lockon FC, but more extreem.
