While building a mission, I've realized that placing units close to Kutaisi city (200 meters to the west) causes consistent microstutters every 2 seconds in the whole map, disregarding POV. Placing the unites a few km to the east solved the issue.

While the unit close is high (500+) I have another mission where the unit count is north of 600 and there are no issues recorded.

Frame drops around Kutaisi were a common issue back in 1.5. This is a different matter. When units are olaced in a certain area, the whole map stutters, disregarding of the point of view. Got stutters on external view on a flight of Su-25As 80km east of Senaki as well as on a company of Abrams 10km to the West.

Did all kind of things, including reinstalling the whole DCS just to discover that the issue were the unit placement. I’ll upload a track in two days.

Thanks for the reply!

Maybe a 'Line of Sight' thing. Lots of AI looking trough Kutaisi.

If that would be the case, I guess it should happen near any of the bigger cities, with hostile on the other side of the given city?

Twistkkng, it was. But the thing is AFTER temoving those two batallions of tanks an bmps and placing them 5 km to the west, the stuttering was gone.

The moving tanks (The Abrams/Bradley Team) was not the issue. That have been tested.

On the other hand, Knock Knock, even having an external view of a 25A more than 50 miles east of the FEBA (and disregarding the POV), I still had stuttering. As I mentioned before, the solution was to move certain unitos 1 to 2 km to the east, which is still east to Kutaisi.
