Aeroscout Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 Ok, sorry about this. 1) will BS be dual core compatable? 2) what is the minimum Processor speed to run FC and BS? is 1.6GHz good enough? Thanks DCS Wishlist: 1) FIX THE DAMN RIVERS!!! 2) Spherical or cylindrical panorama view projection. 3) Enhanced input options (action upon button release, etc). 4) Aircraft flight parameter dump upon exit (stick posn, attitude, rates, accel, control volume, control-surface positions, SAS bias, etc). 5) ADS-33 maneuver courses as static objects. 6) Exposed API or exports of trim position and stick force for custom controllers. 7) Select auto multiple audio devices
Prophet Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 1) No, its the same engine as LOMAC. 2) Dont know, I guess it depends on the settings you use.

Kuky Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 I'd say you'd need a better CPU for BS then FC because of more details in many things... but if lots of things already existing are optimised, it might cancell out... in which case you'd need about the same... but even in current v1.12a fastest CPU's are still not enought to run this sim to its full potential (graphics wise - number of ground objects and visibility distance). TheProphet Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 It depends on which CPU are you talking about, different CPU's - different architecture, clock freq is not a comparison factor when you don't tell which CPU you are talking about. Pentium 4 1.6GHZ is a very very bad CPU, not only for games and of course will perform badly in LOMAC even with the fastast video card. On the other hand, Core 2 Duo at 1.6GHZ (E6300 - 1.83GHZ, very good CPU) would be quite good and capable for running LOMAC at high details. And of course there is the Athlon 64 which at 1.6GHZ I assume that would be also able to run LOMAC on high details if combined with a good machine. I'm not a LOMAC performanc expert, I just want you to see the difference with every CPU. 6700K | ASUS Z170 | 32GB RAM | GTX 680 | 850EVO
Aeroscout Posted February 21, 2007 Author Posted February 21, 2007 Ok, so the core 2 duo 1.6GHz is ok, it could run lomac at decent settings if you had a good videocatd ad a couple gigs of RAM?
