FlyingTexan Posted February 14, 2018 Posted February 14, 2018 (edited) I just ordered all the parts to build a rig for DCS including a WH Hotas. My tv is a 60" 4k but my couch is too far away. I'd like to be able to put a chair in front of it to play on with my Hotas and I guess a keyboard/mouse that when done I can roll into my utility room. Does anyone know of a setup that won't just break the freakin bank? after my i5-7600k/32GB/GTX 1080ti rig plus WH hotas and TrackIR 5 pro I don't want to plunk down even more at the moment. Or let me edit to ask before I look for the wrong thing. How vital is the mouse in this game? I currently have a very nice bluetooth keyboard that I use with my HTPC that has a mousepad built on it. I could just bolt it to a board with the hotas on either side of it. Now that I think of it I have a ton of spare wood from building my deck in my back yard. Maybe I could just build something that's based on this concept but a hell of a lot uglier. Then just pull the living room chair up closer. I went with scrap wood route as well. I had to since I use two different joysticks. It was like an hour job, not counting the time for the stain to dry :) With the joystick swapped out And a $3.00USD solution to stop the chair from moving around. My goal is to have function, I don't care so much about form, and be able to remove it anytime I'm not using it to have the room back to looking how a healthy young adult should live lol
