Hello all,

Been flying the Viggen a bit more lately on a MP server, and have had an issue pop up 3 times in the last couple of weeks. I'll be flying along (usually at altitude) with autopilot altitude hold on, and all of a sudden the aircraft will enter a violent roll and pitch. And when I say violent, I mean something that exceeds what I can do with control deflection. After a second or so, I am able to regain control of the aircraft.

Yesterday, in particular, I was up at 3,000 meters, on my way for some ship hunting with some rb-04's. I had this anomaly happen, regained control, and continued on. I had the radar in A1 at the time of the control freakout. Afterwards, the elevation of the radar must have gone full deflection too (i didn't have it bound to my HOTAS) and was shot down because I ended up getting to close to the ships as I was busy trying to decipher what went wrong with the radar. I couldn't make out anything with it, even though I was near a shoreline, and mountains were just inland.

Has anyone experienced something similar?

Very weird, never experienced any of this.

Double check your control binds. Maybe there is some weird controller mapped to an axis.

Can you try to reproduce the issue with the control indicator window open (RCTRL + Enter, i think it was). See if, when it happens, it displays that you moved your stick. Best would be if you can record it.

Any unusual controller connected to your computer? Do you plug in/out any during flight? Maybe the controller is defect and sends abnormal values to the computer, don't know.

Do you experience this in other aircraft too? Can you test it?

I absolutely had this happen a few weeks ago. At the time I chalked it up to something weird with my controls, like my USB hub disconnecting and reconnecting or something. It's happened twice to me in my time playing so far.

Had same issue, the problem was USB Hub. Solution was to connect controllers directly to PC's own USBs rather then through hub.
