After many months of hard work, I am pleased to announce that I will soon be releasing "The Museum Relic". A campaign for both the Mig-15 and F-86.

This is actually two separate campaigns. You can choose to fly the Mig-15 (which has other Soviet units as its friendlies). Or the F-86 (which has NATO allies). Both campaigns follow the same story line.

Features of The Museum Relic Campaign:

• 22 Story driven missions for each campaign.
  

• Over 400 lines of custom voice recording for each campaign from 17 different voice actors. (Total of nearly 600 voice recordings for both campaigns. Many recordings needed to be campaign specific for differences in Imperial and Metric values, as well as Unit types).
  

• 160+ pages of briefings and detailed flight plan pages.
  

• A fun story that gives the Mig-15 and F-86 a place in this fictional modern day setting.
  

• A custom made skin/livery for both aircraft, as seen in the pictures.
  

The introduction stories can be found at these two links below. The stories are basically the same, with the main differences being the pictures. The story continues on in the campaign through the briefing pages before each mission.

Per the post from Wags in the "DCS World 1.5 and 2.0 Discussion" thread last Friday.

This Friday we hope to release 1.5.4 into the open beta. If after a week we see no blocking bugs in 1.5.4 OB, we will move it to the public build the following Friday.

 

Once 1.5.4 is released to the public build, we plan to release the F-86F / MiG-15bis 3rd party campaign.

Yes, this will be payware DLC. A basic background will be included in the, soon to be released, trailer. In the mean time though, I've added links with the introduction stories for the aircraft to the first post here.

The PDF files don't seem alright.

Playable with friends in co-op multiplayer? I think that a lot of us users are craving mp campaigns. Should not be difficult to implement, and you will sell a lot more copies that way.

The F-86 intro story makes it clear, that only one F-86 is available.

What's wrong with the PDF files? Are they not loading for you? They seemed ok for me when I clicked the links. They are large files (~20 mb each) so it may take some time to load.

This is a single player campaign only. The issue with a "Co-op campaign" is that it would have to be done on the multiplayer servers, and there's no hierarchy of mission progression as you'd have to load each mission individually.

Wonderful! I've longed for an F-86 campaign - I do enjoy my single player experiences.

Where can I get it? I do not see it neither on DCS site, nor on Steam. But I've seen bunyap making a video playing this campaign though. Is it available for purchase at all?

Not yet.

Correct, it's not available yet. I gave Bunyap a single mission from both the F-86 and MiG-15 version of the campaign so he could get some screen shots or video footage for one of his weekly updates. I didn't expect him to do a full on review based solely on the missions I gave him. I'm glad he is though, it show's off the campaign better than I could. He really is good at making those videos!

Very cool channel indeed. I think he can seriously bump DCS campaigns and modules sales... All he does seems so interesting!

Really looking forward to playing this campaign. Seen the Bunyap sim video and it looks promising.

The intro story is well written. For pure flying joy, the Sabre is probably my favorite DCS module so far, but good missions and/or campaigns for the plane have been scarce. Very much looking forward to this one!

On the list of things to do is a Navigation tutorial video for those who need help with the NDB (there's a mission where you'll be flying an NDB approach). There's some good youtube videos already out there for help on this topic, but nothing that I've seen that shows an NDB apporach. And also a walk-thru for missions that I suspect may be a bit on the difficult side.

Mmmmh, that might make me buy one of this old aircraft.

If it's nearly as good as baltic_dragon's campaign, sure I will give it a try
