External View / Internal Warning Sounds

Sorry if this information is elsewhere, I searched but couldn't find it. I also don't exactly know where this type of question should be parked since it is a general, all module, all version question.

 

When you go to an external view you still hear warning sounds like angle of attack warning beeps, sub minimum altitude warnings, bingo fuel, etc. It sort of ruins the ambiance of the external view. Is there a way to shut that off as an option? I thought it was the "sound like in helmet" option or whatever that was but I un-selected that and it didn't seem to change anything that I noticed.

 

Am I just missing something easy or is that even an option? Thanks in advance!
