hitman Posted March 10, 2007 Posted March 10, 2007  dont get your strange sense of humour this time No Ive read alot on the Tunguska event and one of the theories were that a piece of anti-matter burned up in the atmosphere and detonated. Another theory Ive heard was that a meteorite exploded above the surface before impact. RvETito Posted March 10, 2007 Posted March 10, 2007 Yeah... right... Tunguska event, Nicola Tesla... Does anyone remember what's that thread for? "See, to me that's a stupid instrument. It tells what your angle of attack is. If you don't know you shouldn't be flying." - Chuck Yeager, from the back seat of F-15D at age 89. =RvE=

All I've heard was that it was some alien ship that had some warp core problems or shit, in the end it blew up (ok, in, it was an implosion) or something. Creedence Clearwater Revival:worthy:

4c Hajduk Veljko Posted March 11, 2007 Posted March 11, 2007 Radio. Close, but that’s not the one I had in my mind. The answer to my question is TRANSFORMER. Transformer is an electrical machine, with no moving parts, that is 95% (higher percentage on smaller transformers) efficient. Modern technology is were it is nowadays because Tesla invented a machine, Transformer, that allowed electrical energy to be transmitted over great distances with relatively small loses. Radio is also Tesla’s invention, you are right. The patent was finally removed from Marconi and returned to Tesla in early forties I believe. Force_Feedback Posted March 11, 2007 Posted March 11, 2007 I was about to make some transformer related joke, but I feel too shitty and emotional to do so, so please be understanding. Ok, I'm gonna hit the rack before I get suicidal or even more emo :\ Creedence Clearwater Revival:worthy:
