Yomo Posted March 22, 2018 Share Posted March 22, 2018 (edited) Following the NATOPS checklist (NFM-500) I'm not able to get the Flaps BIT to function. Specified point in the checklist (Before Taxiing - step 19), flaps on/auto, flaps caution and warning lights are on, press the BIT button and... nothing. I somehow got it to work a couple of times immediately after the patch to see how it looked (it looked cool), but I haven't been able to repeat whatever the steps were that I took to get it working since. If it's user error, I can't figure out what I'm not doing right. I read it and tried agian but couldn't get it working. -Nozzles 35° -Flaps ON, CRUISE/AUTO/STOL (tried all three) -Press BIT switch Nada. No caution lights, no flap movement, nothing. I'm also confused by the wording: During the IBIT sequence, FLAPS 1, FLAPS 2, and AUT FLP caution lights and the FLAPS warning light must be on prior to initiation of the BIT. My English-teacher brain is asking, are these caution lights supposed to be on during, or prior too? Or did they mean to say prior to and during? They butchered English with that sentence. At any rate, I get none of those caution lights after turning flaps ON. Was the BIT introduced in one of the recent updates that I may have missed?
