Hi guys.

 

I have everything set up for an ILS Landing and no ils needles show for the final. All I can see is the cdi and the point to the left of where he needles are caged!

 

Any ideas?

 

Can one of you vets tell me the correct point system for setting everything up in case I’ve missed something. As far as I’ve read I’m pretty sure my set up is right!

Hi. If you claim that you did everything correctly then let me ask you this.

Where are you landing at ?

Just a bunch of wild guesses:

 

- Correct ILS frequency for this airbase and runway direction?

- Does the airbase/runway direction even support ILS (check the Divert Page)?

- Is the airbase on your side?

- Did you uncage the needles? By default they are caged and can't move

- Entry parameters roughly correct? Around 250mph and 2000ft iirc

- On the Navigation panel behind the joystick, did you hit the ILS button?

- On the ILS panel, did you turn the system on (you hear the morse code then)?

The white CDI and glideslope indicator (left side of ADI) are the primary position references for ILS approach. The bank and pitch steering bars (yellow, center ADI) are secondary steering cues which are sometimes present or hidden or pilot-selectable based on the "stow" switch nearby.

 

It may be as simple as switching the stow switch to able to enable the steering bars.

There have been other threads about 'patchy' ILS with A10c 2.5 beta. I don't always get them in the A10c so could well be related

Cheers guys

It was Batumi I was using, however I have had several ILS Landings in the 1.5 build. Will replicate and record them see if I can crack it!

 

Thanks for your help so far! Will also confirm the stow switch is in the correct position.
