Marcast Posted April 5, 2018 Posted April 5, 2018 After the update in the same mission I can't get anymore the lasing command from the JTAC unit. I can contact them but they don't even give me any more the laser code. Any clue?

I can contact them but they don't even give me any more the laser code. Any clue? On my side, had no issues last night with AGM-65S on 2.5 Beta, and downloaded and installed 2.5 Full version this morning, jsut tried it, and 3 GBU-12 on target.
Marcast Posted April 6, 2018 Author Posted April 6, 2018 I also tried to rewrite the mission in the new editor but nothing changed, after the data readback I get the message CLEARED TO ENGAGE and the first option of the F12 menu is "ATTACK COMPLETE" and not "LASER ON". Everything still works fine in 1.5. Can you post your mission file to see what is different? I also noticed that the canopy cannot be opened with LCtrl+C command....

Try my not-fancy mission but it's my own little playgroudn when i wanna trian, all is working, try it out to see. Both done in 2.5 OB and resaved as 2.5 full version, which still is the same version now. Here's the link for them linked in another thread. https://forums.eagle.ru/attachment.php?attachmentid=182178&d=1523100351 https://forums.eagle.ru/attachment.php?attachmentid=182179&d=1523100351

Lasing works well in your mission, the difference is the JTAC vehicle that I used and was working in 1.5 but not in 2.5, thanks for your help. But still I can't open the canopy using the LCtrl+C command as in 1.5, has anyone else noticed that?
Ramsay Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 (edited) But still I can't open the canopy using the LCtrl+C command as in 1.5, has anyone else noticed that? I'm new to the AV-8B, so can't say how it worked in 1.5 but in 2.5, there is a black canopy locking lever on the RH side that moves forward when the canopy closes, and it has to be moved back (clicked) before the canopy will open using LCtrl+C (or clicking on the handles). The locking lever is shown on page 36 of Chuck's DCS AV-8B Harrier Guide Edited April 10, 2018 by Ramsay Add link to Chuck's DCS AV-8B Harrier Guide i9 9900K @4.8GHz, 64GB DDR4, RTX4070 12GB, 1+2TB NVMe, 6+4TB HD, 4+1TB SSD, Winwing Orion 2 F-15EX Throttle + F-16EX Stick, TPR Pedals, TIR5, Win 11 Pro x64, Odyssey G93SC 5120X1440
Charly_Owl Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 Did the logic of the canopy change since March? Previously LCTRL+C would do the trick. Is there an additional step? Chuck's DCS Tutorial Library Chuck's Guides on Mudspike Chuck's Youtube Channel Chuck's Patreon
Eagle7907 Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 I'm new to the AV-8B, so can't say how it worked in 1.5 but in 2.5, there is a black canopy locking lever on the RH side that moves forward when the canopy closes, and it has to be moved back (clicked) before the canopy will open using LCtrl+C (or clicking on the handles). The locking lever is shown on page 36 of Chuck's DCS AV-8B Harrier Guide +1 Yes. They added clickspot functionality to have the canopy moved without keyboard commands. You can click the canopy handle to move it forward, then clicking the locking lever once the canopy slides fully forward to lock it. To open, do the opposite. Click the locking lever to move aft to open, then click the handle of the canopy to slide aft. Ramsay Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 Did the logic of the canopy change since March? Previously LCTRL+C would do the trick. Is there an additional step? In DCS 2.5.0.15365 • LCtrl+C will close and lock the canopy however an additional step is now required to open the canopy • click on the canopy lock lever hotspot to toggle it aft (no key shortcut yet) • LCtrl+C to open the canopy (or click on the canopy handle) I can't say if the extra step is a safety feature or a bug. The A2A Weapon Select Switch is mapped to 'C' and 'D' (C is A2A Canon, D and LShift+D are Aim-9 modes) - so IMHO it'd be easy to mess up a key press in a dogfight and hit LCtrl+C. An extra step to open the canopy is welcome but it also might be a WIP bug introduced with the addition of more clickable 'hotspots'. i9 9900K @4.8GHz, 64GB DDR4, RTX4070 12GB, 1+2TB NVMe, 6+4TB HD, 4+1TB SSD, Winwing Orion 2 F-15EX Throttle + F-16EX Stick, TPR Pedals, TIR5, Win 11 Pro x64, Odyssey G93SC 5120X1440
