Kiptanoi Posted April 6, 2018 Posted April 6, 2018 (edited) Hi all. I want to know your settings witch Oculus Rift and a Nvida GTX 1070 graphicscard. I am new to this nvidia card. I had Radeon before, so please help me gain some fps while game still look good. Now I have noticed that I need to play with ASW Mode off. While its on I got blurry things and not smoth when I look around in cockpit. With my current settings I got 30-45 in fps when I fly alone with 7 ai on the map. My current settings are this: Nvidia drivers: 391.35 Nvidia Controllpanel 3D Settings Ambient Occlusion: Off Anisotropic filtering: Application-controlled Antialising - FXAA: Off Antialising - Gamma correction: On Antialising - Mode: Application-controlled Antialising - Setting: Application-controlled CUDA -GPUs: All DSR - Factors: Off DSR - Smothness: Off Maximum pre-rendered frames: 1 Multi-Frame Sampled AA (MFAA): Off OpenGL rendering GPU: Auto-select Power management mode: Optimal power Shader Cache: On Texture filtering - Anisotropic sample optimization: Off Texture filtering - Negative LOD bias: Allow Texture filtering - Quality: Quality Texture filtering - Trilinear optimization: On Threaded optimization: Auto Triple buffering: Off Vertical sync: Use the 3D application setting Virtual Reality pre-rendered frames: 1 Oculus Tray tool Global Super Sampling: 0 Global ASW Mode: Off Game settings Textures: High Terrain Textures: High Civ. And point out where to improve fps in VR only and improve how game looks greater in VR only. Thanks Edited April 6, 2018 by Kiptanoi Changed the title
dburne Posted April 6, 2018 Posted April 6, 2018 1st thing and do this right away: Change Power Management from Optimal to " Prefer Maximum Performance". Lower MSAA to 2x. Run in true full screen ( alt+enter when get to the main menu). May have to lower shadows are even turn off. They are nice but an fps killer in VR. If still need more performance, then try lowering textures and terrain textures to medium. I too prefer to fly with ASW disabled, I find if I can maintain at a min of 45 fps and up, then it is very smooth for me. What does "Prefer Maximum Performance" do in Nvidia controllpanel?
dburne Posted April 7, 2018 Posted April 7, 2018 Hi, thanks for answer... What does "Prefer Maximum Performance" do in Nvidia controllpanel? Insures your system devotes maximum performance ( that it can) to the video card. I cant see any changes between Optimal and prefer maximum performance in dcs world, or afterburner monitor stats....

Well that is all I know, I always have mine set that way - never try leaving it at anything else. At least that is always what I have heard is best to do. If your happy with Optimal, leave it there.
