I can recall a few years ago that someone had been developing a Voice Activated Command System for MFS 2004..

I was wondering if any can recall this...

And if so is it possible to get it to function in Lock ON ....

I have used both Shoot and voicebuddy and it works well.

I mainly use it when flying coop with an AI. Then it's more like giving instructions over the radio than pushing a button to get him to go where you want.

If you don't have a hotas or touch buddy, it can help you with all the other command combinations you otherwise forget :smilewink: .

Hi,

I tried Shoot as well as Flight Assistant and VAC together with LOMAC. Flight Assistant unfortunately did not work correctly (perhaps due to the keypress intervals being too short).

I ended up using VAC, as it showed the best response to voice commands (plus a better versatility) and with $10 its not that expensive :)

I really like using voice commands, they just add so much to the immersion.

Just my 2 cents,

Agree. I was also very happy with VAC (Voice Activated Commands), when I was using it with IL2.

You can find 30-day trial version of VAC 1.8.5 here - http://www.dwvac.com/download.htm

It's funny, but I have still version 1.4 on my HD (although not installed anymore) and it's freeware. I don't recall the program asking me for activation or someting like that.

Oh... You can find ready to use profiles on this site (also for LO). But I haven't checked them.

thanks for all of the help guys... I'm hoping to be able to give voice commands to my wing nuts while I'm flying off line.. which is what I do primarily...

I'm going to check out both applications...

VAC is the most useful. Easy to set up. Lots of versitility and good support if you have questions. I have VAC and it is a pleasure to use. You can talk to someone else as long as you don't key a phrase for the game and has some nice features for just $10 bucks. Might as well be free. It beats Voice Buddy hands down and look what you pay for that. It has all the features of Voice Buddy and more reliable. I never have a problem getting a command out. Good luck in what ever you may use. Cheers.
