Other aircraft traffic at airports

Is it just me or has anyone noticed that if you are tuned into the tower (any tower) you don’t hear any other aircraft talking to the tower? This includes your own flight. Addmittenty I’ve only just noticed this but it would be great to hear and it shouldn’t be too hard to implement, surely?

Maybe when they get around to improving the ATC (after Carrier ATC) but yeah, while the AI gives you status updates at waypoints, they don't talk to the tower, or let you know they're on approach. But Wags doesn't even use the ATC himself in the Gulf live streams, actually I don't recall even hearing it speak...is there an option to turn that off!?

If you don't tune into the correct frequencies, you won't hear anything if easy comms is switched off.

Well that’s just it :) I have easy comms switched off and I know I’m on the right frequency because I’m talking to the tower, all other AI aircraft are taking off and landing without saying a word to the tower.

They don't have to. Everybody is AI. Communication is on a higher level. :D

This is may be akin to the radio issue. Perhaps we can have fully and continual airport operations--aircraft coming and going at all times. It is a bit lonely to takeoff or land at an airport and nothing is there or nothing is moving. Or, maybe that state of affairs would slow down the frame rate. For those with a large enough video cards and processors, maybe we can have all airports in full operation. Please don't get upset, it is just an idea.

I think it’s a great idea, you could easily turn that option off if it is too much for your system.
