dresoccer4 Posted April 29, 2018 Posted April 29, 2018 quick question, can the Harrier can track NDBs or VORs? or if TACANs are the only radio beacons available for on-the-fly navigation? thanks! Ramsay Posted April 29, 2018 Posted April 29, 2018 AFAIK, it's only TACAN and ILS for radio navigation. Core AV-8B navigation is GPS/INS based with GPS falling back to INS in the event of failure (overfly INS update before attack run, etc.). ATM waypoints can be only entered in the ME but eventually we'll be able to edit/add our own using the UFC and Lat/Long or UTM coordinates. So to fly a holding pattern over a NDB i.e. Smolenskaya, we'd just add a waypoint at it's location. The same would hold true for an airfield without TACAN or ILS. i9 9900K @4.8GHz, 64GB DDR4, RTX4070 12GB, 1+2TB NVMe, 6+4TB HD, 4+1TB SSD, Winwing Orion 2 F-15EX Throttle + F-16EX Stick, TPR Pedals, TIR5, Win 11 Pro x64, Odyssey G93SC 5120X1440
