Programming CDU in VR

I tried the training mission and it was difficult to see and read the CDU, especially with the training highlights. How do VR users penter data during flight? Any advice for dealing with the 9-line? I am using the Saitek X65f and have some additional keyboard commands in voiceattack.

I don't use the cdu to difficult to see. What I do is : I open the cdu page on the the MFD and do everything through the UFC, much easier IMO

Remap your keys so you’re not using modifiers for A. B. C. Etc So “g” keypress is a “g” entered. Then use the CDU repeater on either MFCD and go about as normal.

 

I guess you would need to be proficient with typing, so you’re not chicken pecking the keyboard while wearing a face hugger.

Thanks, I haven't looked at modifiers. They would make the UFC easier to use.

Yes, the zoom helps. I have set voiceattack up to toggle the zoom for me so I don't have to hold the button.

Yes, I have mapped the UFC to the keyboard numpad, with keys such as func and ltr on NUM* and NUM/.

If you are used to type on a keypad it make ismt very easy to input stuff in UFC without looking
