Cowboy10uk Posted May 10, 2018 Posted May 10, 2018 Hi guys, title speaks for itself. I tend to fly with a couple of mates, yet I’m the only one who has purchased the Hornet. I was wondering with the new carrier that comes with the Hornet, if I will be able to place it in map for myself to practice takeoffs and launches from, but my mates to also operate from it using their harrier and Huey Modules? Do we know if the carrier will just be put into game as a standard update or is it something we specifically require the hornet module for? Appreciate that we will be getting a separate DLC carrier as well at a later point. MrDieing Posted May 10, 2018 Posted May 10, 2018 As far as I understand it, the current ingame US Carrier is getting an update which is free to everyone, and that is the one you are seeing in video's at the moment. Later they will make full carrier DLC with a lot of functions etc. Not sure how they plan on implementing that. The standard carrier in DCS World will get an upgrade in terms of carrier operations. ED has not provided full details on what all that means just yet. This, in my opinion, will simply be improved launch and recovery operations. The carrier (paid for module) will include additional capabilities that ED has not gone into detail on just yet either. I remember reading where the paid for module will be usable by those that did not purchase it, they just won't be able to use all of the extra features - similar to how Combined Arms works. I have not seen an official statement, only hints or plans, so that may change and the paid for module may end up being like the WW2 Assets pack. For the "standard" carrier, your friends should be able to use it just like they can today. Win 10 Pro 64Bit | 49" UWHD AOC 5120x1440p | AMD 5900x | 64Gb DDR4 | RX 6900XT

ebabil Posted May 11, 2018 Posted May 11, 2018 i wonder that how we will align our nose wheel with the catapult system. driving to that point is very hard without an asisstance, especially if outside view is disabled FC3 | UH-1 | Mi-8 | A-10C II | F/A-18 | Ka-50 III | F-14 | F-16 | AH-64 | Mi-24 | F-5 | F-15E| F-4| Tornado Persian Gulf | Nevada | Syria | NS-430 | Supercarrier // Wishlist: CH-53 | UH-60 Youtube MS FFB2 - TM Warthog - CH Pro Pedals - Trackir 5

Seen one video with someone landing and then taxing to the cat again, and there didn’t appear to be any indications inside the cockpit to guide them. Nor could they reengage the wheel bar to the cat. Then again it was Devildoggamer, so it’s quite likely that’s down to them not reading the manual and not knowing the correct procedure. ;) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Fighter pilots make movies, Attack pilots make history, Helicopter pilots make heros. :pilotfly: Corsair 570x Crystal Case, Intel 8700K O/clocked to 4.8ghz, 32GB Vengeance RGB Pro DDR4 3200 MHZ Ram, 2 x 1TB M2 drives, 2 x 4TB Hard Drives, Nvidia EVGA GTX 1080ti FTW, Maximus x Hero MB, H150i Cooler, 6 x Corsair LL120 RGB Fans And a bloody awful Pilot

At least that was the button for the Su-33. Win 10 Pro 64Bit | 49" UWHD AOC 5120x1440p | AMD 5900x | 64Gb DDR4 | RX 6900XT
