AG-51_Razor Posted May 11, 2018 Posted May 11, 2018 I was elated to see that the Tarawa finaly got its TACAN up and running but then a bit disappointed to find that it is only putting out a bearing to the boat and not distance as well. Was this an oversight or am I under a misconception about how TACAN works?? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
AG-51_Razor Posted May 11, 2018 Author Posted May 11, 2018 I had it set to Ch 2X and yes, it was on T/R. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Kayos Posted May 11, 2018 Posted May 11, 2018 I'll try it out when I get home and see if it is the same for me. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
TonyG Posted May 12, 2018 Posted May 12, 2018 Tacan radicals appear to be non functional still, which really limits their use for tracking radials/inboard courses. 9800X3D, MSI 5080 , G.SKILL 64GB DDR5-6000, Win 11, MSI X870, 2/4TB nVME, Quest 3, OpenHornet Pit
AG-51_Razor Posted May 13, 2018 Author Posted May 13, 2018 Has RAZBAM acknowledged this as a bug and are planning to fix it? I realize that they have a ton of bugs on their plate to squash but I was really looking forward to being able to navigate to the boat in lousy weather! :joystick: [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Doum76 Posted May 16, 2018 Posted May 16, 2018 I think it might be working, thing is, might had been part of last update which by mistake Razbam went live with the wrong version of their patch instead of the latest working and tested one, that's why we have on OB the Vortex always on and KC-135BDA not working and some other stuff i presume.
CoBlue Posted May 26, 2018 Posted May 26, 2018 TACAN on Tarawa works now, with bearing, distance, time, & TACAN symbol appearing on the MAP . The course knob still doesn't work though. i7 8700k@4.7, 1080ti, DDR4 32GB, 2x SSD , HD 2TB, W10, ASUS 27", TrackIr5, TMWH, X-56, GProR.
