When I open the radio command with Ralt+/ and select any of the options, I just get to an empty comms menu - so no way I can give my wingman commands.

 

 

Thois has happend after the DCS 2.5.2 update.

And I get an empty menu, just telling what radio is used at the top.

 

 

So now I cannot test wether the data link bug has been fixed, cause I cannot issue any command to my flight / wingman.

are you using the comms menu in the air?

 

if so use the spu-9 PTT

I do use "easy comms" and have tried both "/" and "ALT+/" (SPU-9 PTT).

 

 

Makes no difference.

Menu entries are white, indicating that I´m on the right frequency.

I can f.ex select "2. Wingman", but then an empty comms menu appears from where I cannot get out off with an "Exit" option in the radio menu.

Only the radio in use is indicated on the top of where the list of commands should have been shown.

 

 

 

Note that I have also tried to un-install, cleanup and re-install the KA-50.

 

 

2.5 stable works fine.

I have turned easy com off and use spu-9 ptt but datalink training mission is broken, blank menu. If I use spu-9 ptt on the ground in a quick mission it works.

Maybe it's just the training mission… can you check please?

So now the most major bug on the KA-50 is the INOP Data link .

Ok, maybe in the training mission easy comm is on by default… could this be the problem? Can I disable easy com in the training missions?

I'd like to check if datalink is fixed in 2.5.2, but the mission can't go on without radio comm working...

Not sure on this but...

 

 

Try to restart DCS after deselecting "Easy comms".

I think to remember a restart is necessary for the change to take affect.

 

 

Data link does still not work - so no need to test.

I've always used easy comms off, that's the reason of my hypothesis… My comms using spu-9 ptt (assigned to my hotas) have always wortked, and work in 2.5.2 too, but not in the training mission. And since what is broken is easy comms, I think my training mission does not work because in training missions easy comms are always on, even if I set "use this settings for all missions" in realism tab. If you do a little test with datalink training mission, you can check it by yourself, just to be sure this is not only my issue.

 

 

Then you say datalink is still broken in 2.5.2. Maybe it's better to report it in the right topic, since I've read on the a-10c subforum ED testers to say that, contrary to what a-10c is concerned, datalink in ka-50 would be already fixed...
