I would like to take the opportunity to thank everyone involved in the development of this great module. You've come a long way since the day it was announced and you did a terrific job.

My experience since its early access release this week has been a bit brief and mostly configuring, tweaking the controls, testing, etc., but my first impressions are very positive so far.

I am pretty amazed by the quality and performance overall. I'm running a 3+ years old system. Although I upgraded my graphic card to a 1060 6GB and 32Gb of RAM from 16 Gb initially it is running pretty stably and smoothly even with all maxed out.

The sound of this thing is also incredible. For me the sound environment is as important as the graphics or systems implementation in term of immersion in a simulator. And this is something never seen (and heard) before. I think even the explosions sounds have been recently upgraded as well. Again great job!

Finally, thank you to Mr. Wagner as well for your great educational videos. It really helps getting comfortable in the cockpit quickly and understand how to operate the aircraft. Reading a manual can be a bit boring and time consuming, but how neccessary. However, seeing it in action is very instructive.

Cheers!

I agree,

So much work has been done this year, the sim and F-18 are really going in the right direction. Thanks to everyone involved in getting the F/A-18 and PG out to us and all the work that's continuing on with the core engine.

Agree completely, this module really showcases the attention to detail that DCS is all about, even in early access. ED / BST did and are doing a truly fantastic job with the Hornet. It's a real pleasure to fly so far and will only get better as more capabilities are included.

Thanks very much indeed to everyone at ED / BST and Wags for his educational videos. This was absolutely worth the wait :notworthy:

I must say I was skeptical early on about the EA release. I have been tired of paying good money for unfinished products. The Hornet exceeds expectations and it is still a work in progress which only brings great anticipation for further updates and patches.

I have not been this exited about a flight sim product since the early days pf Flanker. Well Done ED and Belsim, the properly modeled Meatball alone has earned my ( hard earned cash ). A very long-term, thankful and humble customer.

I have not bought EA so I don't know how it flies/performs/etc. but after looking at screen shots and recent videos and I love the weathered look in the cockpit as well as externally. Maybe a small thing but it gives me the feeling that the plane have a story to tell and not rolling strait out from McDonnell Douglas assembly line.

So my hat is off to the modelling/graphic team

Shots/traps in bad weather looks awesome and glad we get more weather stuff since that is paramount in all avionics.

I'm holding of until it is feature complete and hope everything will pan out. Until then I have my Ka-50/Gazelle/Huey/Mi-8 and the awesome AH-64 to flap around in.

Ohhh wait, just checked my DCS install and damn....no AH-64! Must been in my dreams last night.

There is some hope that maybe one day......we will see the AH-64. I hope so...Man I think I owned all the Apache sims ever made, the Apache would be the icing on the cake. Absolutely having a blast in the hornet now tho....
