I was flying with f18 in the mission editor and when I left the flight, instead my game closed. I

thought that I made a mistake and pressed quit to desktop so I re started the game but every time it stuck on 55% loading. The game do not crash, still works but doesn`t move from 55%.

I tried to run as adm, repair, install the previous version and again the new one (doesn`t work with both).

What could cause the problem? Can it be the mission file that I was working on? If yes where can I find it?

I have also notice that the logo DCS 2.5 which appear at game launch last much less than before.

Same here. I decided to create a mission for the first time; I loaded up the Nevada map with the M2000, but when it started it wouldn't allow me to fly. About a minute later I tried to re-open the game, but it would not load past 55%.

It must be something with the mission editor, but I do not know where to find the logs (I checked older forms about logs, but it looks like the log file destination has been changed.)

If anyone has the answer, please help. Im still looking for a solution myself.

Thank you.

(FOUND A FIX)

I went to my saved game folder found here:

C:\Users\YourPC'sName\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta

and I deleted everything in there (I didn't have anything of value saved), and it fixed the 55% broken load screen!

Hope that helps.

Usually deleting "Mission Editor" sub-folder is enough for the infamous "55% mission loading bug", no need to delete the rest, as there are quite a few useful things over there (for example, you don't want to re-do all your controls again, do you?).

I agree, I thought about that after I deleted all of the files. May I ask, did you see a drop in performance when updating to 2.5.2 (or even 2.5.1)? Ever since I updated my fps has dropped about 30frames and I am experiencing constant lag spikes

Forgot to answer here, as I hang around mostly in OB section of the forum nowadays.

As for performance drop, not really, framerate remained the same or comparable, while memory usage and microstutters were noticeably reduced. The latter are a pet peeve of mine, so I'm pleased with 2.5.1/2. Even converted my release copy to OB spec. I always, however, delete options.lua file and empty fxo & metashaders2 folders after every single game update to make sure no old trash affects my perfromance.
