Any Kindle book to recommend?

Have the sim, now I need a good F/A-18 kindle book for those moments.

 

I've been searching in the kindle store, and there are a few fiction books like "Raven One" and "Declared Hostile", or others based on real historical facts like the first gulf war or the "Operation Iraki Freedom".

 

I remember when I read "The Sixth Battle" by Barrett Tillman and it literally blew my mind, sadly it is not in digital format. It was the best technothriller I've ever read.

 

 

 

I would really appreciate if you have any one to recommmend (much better if a technothriller).

Not F/A-18 but an excellent read on modern aerial warfare nonetheless; Vipers in the Storm: Diary of a Gulf War Fighter Pilot by Keith Rosenkranz.

Not Hornets, but I enjoyed this. Well written.

Dan Hampton : Viper Pilot: A Memoir of Air Combat (non-Fiction) is certainly highly recommended.

I guess Ill go for Raven One, as the author (Kevin Miller) was an A7 and F18 pilot and Squadron Leader. By the reviews his writing feels like it is a mix of belivable fiction and his personal experiences aboard aircraft carriers in the Persian Gulf.

I really liked Raven One until Iranian stealth fighter engagement. Somehow it turned out to be a real show stopper for me. I could have probably lived with the fact of Iranian stealth fighter, but that initial engagement seemed very skewed in favor the hero surviving it that it turned me away from the book.

Not Hornet, but I really liked "Viper Pilot: A Memoir of Air Combat" It's about Wild Weasel missions. To me, it gave a good feel of what a pilot/aviator goes through while in mission. You get a sense of "being there" And now that Belsimtek has put the F16 on their roadmap, you can real all about it and get hyped up! :)
