Omega Oska Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 I installed TekaTeka sound mod which converts the russian radio comm to english. But now I have no betty warning (e.g. radar failure), and the subtitles that used to appear on the upper left corner now only appears for millisecond. Is this what the mod would do? Can I keep the english radio but have the warning soud back? Thanks Teka Teka.

TekaTeka Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 Omega, I assume you installed it manually. If so, here is the fix. 1) Download this file and unzip it. 2) Delete \Lock On\Sounds folder and its contents. 3) Place the unzipped "Sounds" folder into \Lock On\ folder. 4) Run LockOn and make sure the sounds are the original (no mod) state and everything is fine. 5) Use ModMan5 to install the English Radio Mod. 6) Run LockOn and make sure you don't have any problems. That's it. I hope it works. TekaTeka from Japan [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Visit my site Beyond Visual Range.
Omega Oska Posted April 12, 2007 Author Posted April 12, 2007 Thanks for the quick reply. I manually installed the mod but there were no "BETTY" and "COMPUTER" folders in the mod. And this's why I lost the sound. I copy the original BETTY and COMPUTER folder into the modded sound folder and the problem is now solved. Too bad I cannot use ModMan5.0 since I am using traditional Chinese WinXP. Looking forward to ModMan6.0.
TekaTeka Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 Too bad I cannot use ModMan5.0 since I am using traditional Chinese WinXP. Looking forward to ModMan6.0. Japanese WinXP has the same problem. But, you should be able to run ModMan5 by changing Control Panel's 'Regional and Language Options' to English. I am sorry to tell you, but ModMan6 won't fix this problem. I know this because I am one of the beta testers.:( TekaTeka from Japan [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Visit my site Beyond Visual Range.
Omega Oska Posted April 14, 2007 Author Posted April 14, 2007 Thanks, changing to English setting allows me to use ModMan. But then I have to change it back to Chinese to run Lockon, maybe I should reinstall Lockon in an English environment.
Disso Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 Well just change it to English when you want to use ModMan, and when finished, change it back to your native language. It's not like you need to fire up ModMan EVERY time you fire up LOMAC. Just do it here and there when you install skins and mods. SU-30MKI F/A-18F ...Beauty, grace, lethality.
