bulding Posted June 7, 2018 Posted June 7, 2018 is this normal with this difference of temp oil temp and engine temp ??? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]:alien:My dailymotion channel:http://www.dailymotion.com/buldingm :pilotfly: and youtube https://www.youtube.com/user/buldingm
Dangerman Posted June 7, 2018 Posted June 7, 2018 Normal for a real aircraft as each engine is tuned individually and has its own inefficiencies due to damahge/wear and tear/age If it simulated then it's extra eye candy
Alfa Posted June 7, 2018 Posted June 7, 2018 (edited) is this normal with this difference of temp oil temp and engine temp ??? Yes it is - note also that the right engine is running at a little lower RPM than the left. Edited June 7, 2018 by Alfa JJ
Solid84 Posted June 7, 2018 Posted June 7, 2018 Yes, i've noticed that right engine has always a little lower rpm and general parameters than left one. At least for me. Rowan Posted June 7, 2018 Posted June 7, 2018 Yes it is - note also that the right engine is running at a little lower RPM than the left. At first I thought my throttle was out of wack when I noticed that.
Solid84 Posted June 7, 2018 Posted June 7, 2018 At first I thought my throttle was out of wack when I noticed that. Well, my hotas warthog throttle has a very small difference between left and right throttle when attached together But a small difference is absolutely normal. Dangerman Posted June 7, 2018 Posted June 7, 2018 Don't Normally do this... but here is a pic from the day job... note the engine gauges "][/url]
AMEDooley Posted June 7, 2018 Posted June 7, 2018 There is also a an exceptable variance on the displays. Like N2 is usually +-1 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Mule Posted June 7, 2018 Posted June 7, 2018 (edited) Don't Normally do this... but here is a pic from the day job... note the engine gauges "][/url] Yes! EGT variation. And what a day job! Nice one thanks for sharing. Edited June 7, 2018 by Mule Fighter Pilot Podcast.
SonofEil Posted June 7, 2018 Posted June 7, 2018 is this normal with this difference of temp oil temp and engine temp ??? This is one of the things that gave me the warm fuzzies with the F-18! I love that it has two distinct engines! When the A-10 came out it had a perfectly matched pair of engines (it may still, it's been years since I've flown it). This was always one of those nitpicks that bothered me but was never worth bringing up. IRL we'd have pilots complain about a noticeable thrust differential, aircraft rigging would have to come out or the engine guys would have to fiddle with T5 set points, sometimes both. Eventually you can tune out the noticeable thrust difference but you'll pretty much never see a multi engine aircraft where both engines give the same numbers. i7 7700K @5.0, 1080Ti, 32GB DDR4, HMD Odyssey, TM WH, Crosswind Rudder...
