rogue_blade Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 hey guys, after playing lockon for the firs time in quite a while i realize my x52 is doing some weird stuff. in game my aircraft automatically dips (nose down) when i do nothing with the stick. i mean like more of a dip than a naturally caused gravity dip or lack of airspeed. also my rudders are always slightly pulled to the left. when i go to the f2 view and look at the tails of my aircraft i see the rudders slight off center. so now when i fly my plane always naturally goes down and to the left i cant seem to find a way to calibrate my joystick [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
SuperKungFu Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 go into either your lock on options or the control panel and see if the signals are slew to a different direction. The X-52 self calibrates so move it around and see if it finds its center. If it can't, then it might be defective. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
NY3D Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 joystick trouble Same thing happens to me,however if you go to the windows calibration page and calibrate or move the stick around all the axis(rudder and thrust also)it will stop.It works for me.You must do this everytime you start Lock on.
SuperKungFu Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 if that's the case, then there is something wrong with your X-52, i don't have to do that and mine starts centered every time. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

I think yours is suffering from some defect as well, NY. I've not heard of this before. [sIGPIC]http://forums.eagle.ru/attachment.php?attachmentid=43337&d=1287169113[/sIGPIC]
NY3D Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 I think so too cause it never happened before until just the other day.I havent had it a year yet(I got 5 other sticks)I dont know if my warranty is still good(i doubt it.)hopefully i can do something about it.:(
hitman Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 I have....I had an axis assigned to a different rotary. I had this problem a few days ago.
Aeroscout Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 Hmm, try unpluging it and repluging it, and keep the stick centered. dont deflect the stick when you start up the computer either. (just for future reference) DCS Wishlist: 1) FIX THE DAMN RIVERS!!! 2) Spherical or cylindrical panorama view projection. 3) Enhanced input options (action upon button release, etc). 4) Aircraft flight parameter dump upon exit (stick posn, attitude, rates, accel, control volume, control-surface positions, SAS bias, etc). 5) ADS-33 maneuver courses as static objects. 6) Exposed API or exports of trim position and stick force for custom controllers. 7) Select auto multiple audio devices
NY3D Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 Aeroscout, you are the man.For me it seems to work...thanx.
rogue_blade Posted April 14, 2007 Author Posted April 14, 2007 cool i think i fixed.... [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Aeroscout Posted April 15, 2007 Posted April 15, 2007 Aeroscout, you are the man.For me it seems to work...thanx. ok, thanks. Thats a first. lol :D DCS Wishlist: 1) FIX THE DAMN RIVERS!!! 2) Spherical or cylindrical panorama view projection. 3) Enhanced input options (action upon button release, etc). 4) Aircraft flight parameter dump upon exit (stick posn, attitude, rates, accel, control volume, control-surface positions, SAS bias, etc). 5) ADS-33 maneuver courses as static objects. 6) Exposed API or exports of trim position and stick force for custom controllers. 7) Select auto multiple audio devices
rogue_blade Posted April 15, 2007 Author Posted April 15, 2007 ok moving my stick around does fix the pitch problem but my rudders seem to be permanently stuck a bit to the left. they are normal when i start flying but as soon as i slightly twist the stick they veer off to the left [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Aeroscout Posted April 15, 2007 Posted April 15, 2007 Ohh. i hate that. Dust got in the stick. Twist the rudder 50-100 times to get it out. Blowing on the spring also helps. this can happen multipal times durring an online mission for instanse, so, I reccomend twisting the rudders while the engines are spooling up. I hate this too, but your going to have to deal with it.
