TomOnSteam Posted June 8, 2018 Posted June 8, 2018 This headset has super hi-res screens imbedded in the center of the vive pro screens, so when viewing things straight on it is very crisp. Interesting concept. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Cockpit Spectator Mode

Mr_Burns Posted June 10, 2018 Posted June 10, 2018 The issue with this approach is that it assumes you move your head and not your eyeballs to change what you focus on? Surely you could have 4K screens that only render where you look in 4K?

Surely you could have 4K screens that only render where you look in 4K? This is known as foveated rendering, and it's certainly going to be part of many new headsets :-) I prefer this approach too, as sometimes it's more naturally to glance down with your eyes instead of moving your whole head. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Cockpit Spectator Mode
