Vette Posted June 9, 2018 Posted June 9, 2018 Hello, I just built a new computer and I am playing DCS world in beta mode via steam. I am running at 70FPS solid all the time with little to no dip in performance at any time. I am getting a very strange issue when looking in freelook in the cockpit where the mouse moves normal then slow as if its being slowed down by a grid. The mouse then speeds back up then slows down again. It does this in every direction regardless of what I'm looking at. It does this in single player and multiplayer. I have tried all DPI settings on the mouse and turned off precision control in the windows mouse options. I have turned off all VR options and I don't use any tracking software. This is the first time I have seen this issue before in DCS world. I was playing in the beta program on my old computer and this never happened. Please help as this is making me motion sick and I cannot play the game at the moment. Thanks heaps everyone, John (Vette)
Vette Posted June 10, 2018 Author Posted June 10, 2018 This has been around for like a year. Thank you for your reply. I never had it with my old setup so it must be my new mouse that has 12K DPI or my new computer that's "too fast" hahaha. I have tried turning the mouse down with the adjustable DPI button but it happens with all of the settings. Cheers.
Vette Posted June 10, 2018 Author Posted June 10, 2018 I have also a issue with my mouse when i play dcs with 1000hz signal rate ( logitech g502 proteus spectrum ). Now i play with 250Hz with no problems. Thank you for the reply. That is very interesting. Is the "hz" different to "DPI" by any chance? I'm a little rusty with that stuff. Thanks again.
Mech Posted June 10, 2018 Posted June 10, 2018 Its the polling rate. Look for it in your mouse software...usually under advanced settings..and yes, with 250 Hz its working fine.
