When I upgraded this computer I purchased a cooler pad for this laptop. It is currently way too small, I use the suction cups from my x-52 to mount my laptop on top of it so air can circulate underneath, and it only has 2 fans mounted underneath it. Unfortunately, LOMAC really makes this laptop hotter than hell, it crashes on me from time to time because of this and I need better cooling for this thing. Anyone have any advice aside from sticking this thing in an ice box?

what type of laptop is it? When i tried using an HP laptop, it was horrible when it came to heat. Frequently i would see at the bottom, temp reaching critical bla bla bla. I'm glad i got my dell laptop, because it has better cooling (IIRC it was copper cooling). Anyway, a good start is to tell us the size like 17in, 15in...etc so maybe others can narrow down a good cooling pad.

Simply putting the suction cups under this will not accomplish that. I would stick about a stack of 2/3 sticky pads on the 4 corners so you can get even more air up under the thing. If that does not work, I would recommend unplugging it and :pilotfly::pilotfly:it to the dumpster! (JK!)

No honestly if the sticky pads dont do it, then you may have an inner problem. Remember that LOMAC uses a ton of ram, and that is a component on the computer that often isnt cooled enough.

Well it disburses a lot of heat while gaming and it has a half inch between the pad and the bottom of my laptop.

SKF its an Acer Aspire 9300 and its all in the sig.

I would recommend (not trying to sound like a techie from Dell or someplace else) putting about an inch to an inch and a half of space. Really can make the difference. Also, try if you can to blow some sort of desk fan from the OPPOSITE side of where the heat is coming out of. Believe me, just a little bit of circulation goes a long way!

I want to open a few peripherals underneath the laptop too to get some sort of air flow going through this case. Id much rather make a small mod to the laptop like putting a high flow fan under the processor and at key vent points...but problem with that is that they have to be all powered by usb and can detatch when I move my laptop on the go. But I dont really want to fuxx0r up anything on this thing by doing that. Warranty and all that good stuff.
