My problem is I wish to have a group of 4 humvees do a loop around a compound at different intervals in a continuous loop. The use sent me a miz file with 4 different instances of a humvee with each triggered by the first humvee hitting three thrigger zones. I have a group of 4 humvees is there a way to have on activated on mission start and the second activated when the first hits a trigger zone then have the third activated when the second hit hits that trigger zone and so forth until all four are activated? Next in his miz file to get the continuous loop it appears that on the last waypoint it triggers to go to the first way point I edited my waypoints the same he did but it isn’t working what could I have done wrong? feefifofum Posted June 11, 2018 Posted June 11, 2018 1. Yes. Just use the second group to trigger the third and so on. You can use the clone button to duplicate the spawn trigger then simply pick the next units in line from the drop down menu in the conditions column. 2. Hard to say without seeing the .miz. You must move the trigger zone as well when you move the waypoints, and make sure all task push triggers are of the switched condition type to allow the patrol to loop more than once. Zayets Posted June 11, 2018 Posted June 11, 2018 I thought the mission I sent is doing exactly that: having 4 humvees patrol circling the base at a fairly regulated interval. Continuously. You can, of course spawn 2nd when 1st hit trigger zone, 3rd spawning when 2nd hits the trigger zone and so on, just modify the triggers accordingly. I assume your humvee does not resume patrol because you forgot to add in the advanced waypoint the task : go to waypoint 0. One more thing you can do is to load MIST and use the group patrol function, this will make your group patrol the route you have created. System-specific AI issues are not a thing in 99.9% of circumstances, nor are map-specific issues of this nature these days now that everything is in one unified version. I’ve tried go to waypoint in the waypoint actions and in the main trigger panel but my humvee stops at the last waypoint could you please instruct me in the proper way to get it to go from the last waypoint to the first. If in waypoint actions say so if in the main trigger use the following format Trigger: once Action: group in zone Condition: push task, go to waypoint. Zayets Posted June 13, 2018 Posted June 13, 2018 OK, that trigger is not going to work. Let's start one by one, first we will make a humvee to patrol indefinitely on a given route. Follow these steps: - add a humvee and create 4 waypoints (start point, 1, 2, destination) make them in such a way that they will form a rectangular shape. That's half work done - now, deselect your object (do a right click for example on the map) - click on the last waypoint, and then click on advanced waypoint actions, Now click on ADD and a new window will open. - in the new window click on the drop down and pick perform command, after that choose go to waypoint. pick first waypoint and you should be done Open the mission I sent you and take a look at how is done based on what I wrote above. Waypoint trigger actions - go to waypoint 0 Main triggers Triggers- 2 continuous (mp1loop,on mission start) Conditions-unit inside zone(mp1, tz1) Actions (mp1/1. Go to waypoint) The unit is mp1 The trigger zone is tz1 The unit has 4 waypoints 0-3 Changed the event to switched and it works thanks guys I miss remembered the trigger event The trigger zone incorporates wp3 What’s wrong? feefifofum Posted June 14, 2018 Posted June 14, 2018 Change MISSION START to NO EVENT. If set to MISSION START the trigger will fire only if the conditions are met at the moment the game is unpaused. Everything is fixed, there is a trigger labeled README that has detailed information about what the problems were and what I changed to fix them, but the short version is: The patrol requires multiple triggers, one for each waypoint, and the terrain was too difficult The boat was too close to shore and the FARP to drive. Before you ask, unfortunately there is no automated way to loop naval waypoints for the time being. You just have to put a million of them in. I put in enough for your boat to drive for 1 hours.
