Sunshadow Posted June 11, 2018 Posted June 11, 2018 Hi! Can anyone explain me, how to configure the Warthog HOTAS throttle to send the engine idle (rShift + pos1) command when moving into idle position? Some profiles have this feature but I don't know which settings I have to make. Greyman Posted June 11, 2018 Posted June 11, 2018 (edited) do you mean idle or do you mean you want the hornet to recognise when the throttle is lifted and pulled back beyond the idle detent, effectively turning that engine off? If it is the latter, then pulling a throttle all the way back will trigger either button 29 (right) and/or button 30 (left), depending upon whether it is the right and/or left throttle lever. I set those two switches to the respective 'Throttle [R/L] - OFF/IDLE' commands. If your throttle axes are calibrated properly, pulling the levers back to the detents, not beyond, should set them to idle. edit: it looks like i have assumed that you are using the hornet. other aircraft might have different commands that do roughly the same thing, so if you could confirm which it is, we can perhaps be of more help. Sunshadow Posted June 12, 2018 Author Posted June 12, 2018 You are right, I'm flying the F18. For the startup procedure I want to recognize the throttle lift for every engine. Frederf Posted June 12, 2018 Posted June 12, 2018 MapKeyR(&Throttle, IDLELON, DX1); MapKey(&Throttle, IDLELON, PULSE+DX2); MapKeyR(&Throttle, IDLERON, DX3); MapKey(&Throttle, IDLERON, PULSE+DX4); This will pulse DX1 when left handle is moved from off to idle, DX2 when left handle moved from idle to off, DX3 when right handle is moved from off to idle, DX4 when right handle is moved from idle to off. Use what you need and substitute whatever keyboard keys if desired for DX1 2 3 4.
