Wolf8312 Posted June 16, 2018 Posted June 16, 2018 Performance has been much better recently than it has been in a while with the damage model no longer causing huge FPS drops. However occasionally I still do get fps drops or basestation flashes in VR using the Vive. This may possibly be because of the damage model (am flying the spitfire) still not being completely fixed (though I dont think so) however I think it's because of the clouds as the problem seems to go away without them. Clouds are pretty much not wanted anyhow because in VR they are bugged with clouds appearing and dissapeering whenever I move my head but still I would like one day to be able to use them! Anyone else aware of the problem with clouds and FPS? Recently I mean as I know it always has been an issue but I thought it was fixed. ------------ 3080Ti, i5- 13600k 32GB VIVE index, VKB peddals, HOTAS VPC MONGOOSE, WARTHOG throttle, BKicker,
Gryzor Posted June 16, 2018 Posted June 16, 2018 In addition, if you change views (like with shift+F11), the clouds disappears. This not happens in dynamic wheater conditions, only in presets conditions
boedha68 Posted June 16, 2018 Posted June 16, 2018 (edited) Aware? Offcourse... but the spitfire is the most fps eater in the game. See when you do the same mission with a f-15. See the difference. :D I am constantly trying to drain the most and best quality from my system into the rift. :D ED is working on clouds and integration of vulcan API. No time line. Well I think its maybe a problem with the damage model in the spitfire as well. Occasional flashes I think when the spit gets hit. Performance is generally good FPS not the problem but FPS drops (losing 10-20 frames at once) are a killer in VR... Wolf8312 Posted June 23, 2018 Author Posted June 23, 2018 Update- dont think it was the clouds, seems to happen when a pilot ejects (WW2) but dosent seem to happen again after that. Though to be honest clouds might still have problem as I dont use them anyway due to graphical glitches! ------------ 3080Ti, i5- 13600k 32GB VIVE index, VKB peddals, HOTAS VPC MONGOOSE, WARTHOG throttle, BKicker,
