Aeroscout Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 BTW? do you have the option to get a new sitck? the logitechs arn't that great. Even if it's a microsoft stick, i still find it better. just my 2 cents... DCS Wishlist: 1) FIX THE DAMN RIVERS!!! 2) Spherical or cylindrical panorama view projection. 3) Enhanced input options (action upon button release, etc). 4) Aircraft flight parameter dump upon exit (stick posn, attitude, rates, accel, control volume, control-surface positions, SAS bias, etc). 5) ADS-33 maneuver courses as static objects. 6) Exposed API or exports of trim position and stick force for custom controllers. 7) Select auto multiple audio devices
Camoman Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 I have this joystick and i think it is great for how much u pay. Just never get the force feedback, they suck. But as Frost1e says it aint hard to assign it. Just a pain in the butt to use compared to real rudder pedals...the twist just doesn't seem to allow fine control (this applies to any twist joystick--im not paying out this particular one, since im referring to the use and 'feel' of twist versus the use and 'feel' of pedals) =IronAngels= Http://www.ironangelslockonsquad.com Iron Angels Lockon Squad Iron Angels: The Proud, The Few, The Elite
sp0nge Posted April 19, 2007 Author Posted April 19, 2007 Ok I assigned it, and Camo you are right. it blows :P Aeroscout, i like my stick, im going to.. stick.. with it Is breaking the laws of gravity illegal? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Frostie Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 My Logitech 3dpro was an excellent stick especially for the price. "[51☭] FROSTIE" #55 51st PVO "BISONS" Fastest MiG pilot in the world - TCR'10 https://100kiap.org
sp0nge Posted April 19, 2007 Author Posted April 19, 2007 Ahhhyp... 3 against 1 aero .. hehe Is breaking the laws of gravity illegal? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
britgliderpilot Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 I'm using a Logitch 3D Pro at Uni, both for some course-related stuff and Black Shark testing in the background. I've got an X45 at home, mostly because I've got the desk space to play with . . . . but lack of buttons aside, I've got no complaints about the Logitech stick so far. Shrug. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v121/britgliderpilot/BS2Britgliderpilot-1.jpg
rattler Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 I bought the Logitech joysticks as the new ones came on the market about 4 in all had one slight problem with the twist, got in touch with Logitech and sent me a new stick right away air express. I still have them and all working fine. I use the Saitek x52 now but I would recommend Logitech joysticks to anyone. Support is great. You will enjoy the 3d pro. Before the X52 I bought two of them just to make sure there was no interuption in my gaming. Gave a couple of the others to my son and they are still working 5 years now.Cheers.
Aeroscout Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 Ahhhyp... 3 against 1 aero .. hehe Ok, i have no problem with it. lol. I was just making my suggestion. But your entitled to your own opinion, ans so i respect that. I just didn't like mine. It was too weak and had has a HUGE (physical) dead zone in the middle. It was imposible to keep the plane flying level. If anything I found them(one) to be too tight the other seem to be just right, never had a problem flying, response was there when needed. Microsoft is still a very fine joystick as well and would not turn one down, well now I would since the X52 but before I would not have. Logitech newer sticks were easy to get more so than Microsoft around here but found them to be a solid joystick. To bad you had a bad experience with your Logitech product, I would be a little set back too if I ended up with one I could not use properly.Cheers. Respect your opinion also and understand why. I would feel the same if situation was reversed. I tried the X45's and never got one and was a little worried about the X52 but it has been a great performer for me. No problems at all.
Aeroscout Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 well, I'm happy with my current X-52. even if you have to twist the rudder 100 times to get the dust out every time you fly. (Oh well, i do that when the airplane is spooling up.)
