AwesomestMaximusTheFifth Posted June 19, 2018 Posted June 19, 2018 Hello, since the last update I am unable to start the OpenBeta. DCS 2.5.0 and 1.5.8 runs fine, the problem seems to be in the OB alone. ED Team BIGNEWY Posted June 20, 2018 ED Team Posted June 20, 2018 Hi Not seen this one before are you running windows insider preview version of windows 10? Operating System: Windows 10 Pro 64-bit (10.0, Build 17134) (17134.rs4_release.180410-1804) the latest windows insider preview has been problematic for DCS, but I think yours is an earlier version? 2018-06-19 18:34:43.279 ERROR GRAPHICSVISTA: Can't load render backend 'dx11backend.dll'. AwesomestMaximusTheFifth Posted June 20, 2018 Author Posted June 20, 2018 I haven't signed up for Insider Preview. I've got my windows update settings set to Semi-Annual (Targeted), but I have had it paused for a while now (been having internet connection issues, and browsing is very slow), last update was a security update on the 8th of June. i7-6700K || 64 GB DDR4 || GTX TITAN X 12 GB || TM Warthog HOTAS || TheAwesomePedals || OpenTrack-Custom clip || Logitech G13 and G35 F-14 | F/A-18C | A10-C | AV-8B NA | M-2000C | MiG-21bis | Ka50 | UH-1H | Mi-8MTV2 | FC3 | CA Caucasus | Nevada NTTR | Persian Gulf If you can build it why not!!!

AwesomestMaximusTheFifth Posted June 21, 2018 Author Posted June 21, 2018 I've looked for the DX service in the registry as per the link, no luck. then i had this wonderful idea of deleting everything in the bin folder except DCS_Updater.exe and doing a repair. It worked, somehow one of the files there seems to have been the issue and it wasn't dx11backend.dll, because I've tried to replace that one before (copy from DCS 2.5.0, and tried delete then repair) Thanks for the help @BIGNEWY, cheers i7-6700K || 64 GB DDR4 || GTX TITAN X 12 GB || TM Warthog HOTAS || TheAwesomePedals || OpenTrack-Custom clip || Logitech G13 and G35 F-14 | F/A-18C | A10-C | AV-8B NA | M-2000C | MiG-21bis | Ka50 | UH-1H | Mi-8MTV2 | FC3 | CA Caucasus | Nevada NTTR | Persian Gulf If you can build it why not!!!
