Hello,

since the last update I am unable to start the OpenBeta.

DCS 2.5.0 and 1.5.8 runs fine, the problem seems to be in the OB alone.

System Spec

Intel Core i7 6700K

Z170M-D3H-CF

64 GB DDR4 1067MHz

NVIDIA GeForce GTX Titan X 12GB GDDR5

Steps taken

  1. performed clean/repair/update
  2. reinstalled NVIDIA driver
  3. reinstalled all in <distr> folder
  4. deleted SavedGames\DCS.OB folder
  5. restarted PC
  6. disconnected all USB devices (except KB & Mouse) and started DCS

nothing seems to have solved this issue.

I've attached the DCS.log and DXDIAG

Thanks

Hi

Not seen this one before

are you running windows insider preview version of windows 10?

Operating System: Windows 10 Pro 64-bit (10.0, Build 17134) (17134.rs4_release.180410-1804)

the latest windows insider preview has been problematic for DCS, but I think yours is an earlier version?

I haven't signed up for Insider Preview.

I've got my windows update settings set to Semi-Annual (Targeted), but I have had it paused for a while now (been having internet connection issues, and browsing is very slow), last update was a security update on the 8th of June.

I've looked for the DX service in the registry as per the link, no luck.

then i had this wonderful idea of deleting everything in the bin folder except DCS_Updater.exe and doing a repair.

It worked, somehow one of the files there seems to have been the issue and it wasn't dx11backend.dll, because I've tried to replace that one before (copy from DCS 2.5.0, and tried delete then repair)

Thanks for the help @BIGNEWY, cheers
