Hello.

 

 

 

5 years I play DCS and I'm tired of this... Just done a SEAD mission against an SA-6 with the viggen and 120kg bombs... 2 runs with 12 bombs each. Just look how close the bombs hit the ground. The SA-6 radar is completely operationnal with 100% HP, same for this URAL (those units are not invincible in the ME).

 

 

 

Do something please ! Between Mk-20 that are useless and Mk-82/M71 which need a direct hit on a truck to damage it, it's getting really frustrating right now. We don't ask for overpowered weapons, but for a more coherent blast/damage radius with some weapons.

Maybe Ed could make somekind placeholder fix until we get new blast/damge / sharpnel modeling ??

I was intending to start a threat just like this one... Here are two T-55s pretty much "falling into" my Mk-82 craters. The game didn't even count that as a hit.

Texac, there are dozens of threads like this. Dozens. And nothing had evolved since the creation of DCS World... But they add cows... Yeah cows while bombs needs corrections... In a software called ''digital COMBAT simulator''

 

Indeed dozens, and you are still adding another one without any new information. If you read carefully threw the linked thread you will see that ED can be made aware of problems/bugs regarding blast damage. If you create a thread about this bug and want it reported, provide tracks to ED.

 

Regarding the cows, it was CLEARLY stated that these don't slow down any other developments.

 

You forgot the World behind DCS. This is a combat simulation taking place in real life environments.

Yes, I add another thread and it's entirely intentional ! Since nothing have been corrected i'll add a new thread like this at each patch. And no, I don't do researchs before posting, I take too much time posting bug report for some modules. I was doing research before, but now, I'll not search anymore. I post, if the bug have already been reported, it doesn't matter. If the bug have not already been reported : that's fine. (Remember heatblur with the Viggen wheels rotation speed and the parking brake ?... If you don't post new thread on some already reported bugs, devs can forget some of them).

 

The thing with the cows : you're right, I knew that. I also mention it deliberately to share my view of DCS : eye candy things are prioritized compared to core mechanism problems that are reported regularly for YEARS !

 

Hope you understand my view and also my frustration (and I'm not the only one to be tired of this, many on my friends don't even bother to open DCS now because of all those pretty much game breaking details that are here since so many years.)

First of all people, if you aren't helping then you aren't helping ! All you are doing is annoying the original poster which is unnecessary when that person is already understandably annoyed.

The way I look at it is IF I cannot Help then I generally just avoid a post/thread. Besides, it just makes more work for ED to sort through posts to find those which are most helpful and/or significant. Then things might actually get fixed.

 

I agree that the issue of Splash Damage and overall damage has been going on for years. There are too many indestructible things already (i.e. buildings and bridges) without having to script stuff. I have noticed many times in the past where rockets would do little or zero damage to tanks, even with direct hits. One week they'll work and then an update and months go by without any damage from the same rockets on the same targets/tanks etc.

 

This is something that needs to be corrected for All Bombs and Rockets for ALL aircraft, once and for all and then NEVER mucked with again (if possible or unless absolutely necessary) IMO.
