blokovchan Posted July 17, 2018 Posted July 17, 2018 Hello, I plan to reinstall windows soon. I own following modules: FC3, Mi8, Huey, Mig21, some campaigns, Persian gulf and nttr. Question is: do I have to return license for modules, before format c:, like in standalone version, or steam versions use different activation system...?
Ramsay Posted July 17, 2018 Posted July 17, 2018 (edited) AFAIK you will want to deactivate any modules that Steam lists as using "3rd Party DRM: Starforce" So older modules like FC3, Mi8, Huey and MiG-21 by running • steamapps\common\DCSWorld\Mods\aircraft\Flaming Cliffs\bin\fc3_protect.exe • steamapps\common\DCSWorld\Mods\aircraft\Mi-8MTV2\bin\mi8_protect.exe • steamapps\common\DCSWorld\Mods\aircraft\Uh-1H\bin\uh1_protect.exe • steamapps\common\DCSWorld\Mods\aircraft\MIG-21bis\bin\pcnsl.exe Persian gulf and NTTR don't use Starforce if bought on Steam. For your campaigns you can check the Steam Store page for each or Steam's list of DCS keys (only Starforce DRM has a 'CD key' for the module/campaign) Edited July 17, 2018 by Ramsay Add detail i9 9900K @4.8GHz, 64GB DDR4, RTX4070 12GB, 1+2TB NVMe, 6+4TB HD, 4+1TB SSD, Winwing Orion 2 F-15EX Throttle + F-16EX Stick, TPR Pedals, TIR5, Win 11 Pro x64, Odyssey G93SC 5120X1440
