Damage model - wip?

Is the damage model still a bit wip?

Started to notice after varying degrees of hits received that systems seem to take almost no damage barring the obvious control surfaces falling off.

I've yet to see any noticeable form of system failures, leaks, fires, engine damage and shut down, electrical failures, hydraulic failures etc
