filthymanc Posted July 24, 2018 Posted July 24, 2018 I'm having real issues locating moving convoy targets after JTAC tells me the coordinates and direction of travel. The coordinates never seem to have any targets or roads near them, and also when I try to locate the targets given the direction of travel I can't see any convoys. I'm guessing that the coordinates are a starting point for the convoy but haven't seen anything to back this up. Has anybody got any tips on this subject? Sent from my ONEPLUS A5000 using Tapatalk
Eviscerador Posted July 25, 2018 Posted July 25, 2018 I usually use the JTAC coordinates to get a rough estimation of where the convoy is. Then I look with the MK1 Eyeball untill I find it. Sometimes they are in a road, sometimes they are off road. If they are in a road they are easy to spot, and if they are off road and moving, look for smoke and dust clouds. Anyway if the convoy is large (over 6 vehicles) it is easy to spot, even without zoom. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Frederf Posted July 25, 2018 Posted July 25, 2018 Coordinates will be object position at time of transmission so convoy can move on. I think you can ask for tasking info again and get updated position but I'm not sure. It might be necessary to abort task and re-do to get better coordinates.
